However the gradual disunity and factional feuds among the feudal classes in general paved the advent of the foreign merchant classes from Europe, who exploiting the reigning situation expanded their gluttonous but potential tentacles and were gradually annexed by the British East India Company and then by Her Majesty's Government. The colonized nation of India again was transformed into a modern nation state in 1947 by compelling the final silhouette of the British Imperialism to move.
India is at present is the twelfth largest economy by the virtue of exchange rates and the fourth largest in respect of purchasing power. With the initiation of the process of globalization and free market economy the country has made immense progress, specially in the sector of Information Technology where it has become a name to be reckoned with profound veneration.
