Like is a long lesson in humilty
James M. Barrie (1860 - 1937

The royal aristocracy is best reflected through the exposition of the jewels, it is said by diverse schools of thought. From time immemorial jewellery has been the uniform symbol of success and wealth over the centuries. It was often said that one could detect a person's wealth by the virtue of the very adornments worn about their person. None should forget the number of battles that were fought over the possession of the jewels of which the most prominent had been the Kohinoor, at present stationed in the royal crown of Her Majesty the Queen of England. Truly, jewellery has had a timeless appeal to it and by now the fine examples of vintage jewellery that are exhibited at regular intervals in different cities of the world have become much prized possessions.
However, though among the general people there have been always a great crave for the possession of jewels but the immense scarcity of money has made for many the greatest obstacle let alone the insurance costs and fear of theft. But since the urge or demand remains constant, the wise businessmen supposing as a great business opportunity brought to the fore, the international market the novel concept of costume jewellery. But since the general preference has always been the vintage jewellery in original, so it is not any costume jewellery but the pseudo replica of the real one in the form of vintage costume jewellery. The introduction of it enables any to be content with the buying of a piece of history but with a much reduced price tag.
The great demand of cheap gemstone jewellery has always provided an impetus into the trade of jewellery but the mere imitation of the brilliance and lustre of real gems had always been a challenge. Nevertheless with its effective application once and with its glittering like the real gem changed the established mindset. Now a days with the easy access to the beautiful imitation stones there had been a fine growth in the production of costume jewellery, through the usage of the similar deigns and techniques that are used in the real jewellery. It is due to the credit of those unsung jewellers that the craving for jewellery has maintained a steady fan following.
